In May 2023, we opened our new branch in the city's old Tollbod, which has become a small boutique hotel with 9 double rooms and a fine dining restaurant, Tollboden 1865. In addition, we opened Park Café in Risør's old Esso station, which has become a rustic and modern restaurant.

Risør is a beautiful, charming and safe town to live in. Here we are a welcoming community with a vibrant arts and cultural life. In Risør, most things are within walking distance. There are no large chain stores, but only small and cosy niche shops. We have a large outdoor area - Urheia, swimming opportunities and a bustling nightlife in the summer.

We have 9 stylish double rooms in Tollboden and 19 different, comfortable hotel suites in carefully restored historic buildings in one of the world's best preserved wooden house towns, Risør. Each suite has a unique theme that tells the story of the town's rich maritime history. Here you can dream of living like a Risør citizen during the sailing ship era, but with the service and style you would expect from a historic hotel.

Both permanent and seasonal positions are offered.

At Tollboden we have a fine dining restaurant, Tollboden 1865, which focuses on seafood. We also have a bar and outdoor seating by the waterfront. Breakfast is served here for hotel guests, as well as a la carte lunch and dinner.
Park Café is located in the building next to Tollboden. Here we have converted an old gas station into a modern and rustic gastropub, where this year we are expanding the menu to include pizza. Park Café is located on the quayside and has a fantastic pier that is very popular with summer guests. Here we have a more casual dining experience, but with the same focus on the quality of the food and service. Both indoor and outdoor seating, lunch and dinner.
Both kitchens are brand new and well-equipped and there is a good collaboration between the two restaurants.
You will be trained by our experienced head chef and will work together with the restaurant manager at Tollboden 1865 and the rest of the hotel staff.
